Closed-Die Forged Flanges

Closed-die forged flanges with continuous grain flow, supplied to EN 1092-1, ANSI B16.5 and JIS B2220.

Closed-Die Forged Flanges

Forging aligns the grain with the load path instead of cutting across it the way a machined-from-plate flange does. For pressure-retaining and cyclic-load applications this is the difference between a flange that passes fatigue testing and one that does not — and it is why we forge rather than burn out from plate.
