Frequently asked questions

The questions that come up in the first weeks of a new supplier relationship — order quantities, documentation, payment, shipping and tooling ownership.

What is your minimum order quantity?

MOQ varies by process and is listed on each product page: 500 pieces for stampings and castings, 200 for CNC machined parts, 1,000–10,000 for fasteners and fittings depending on size. For a first order on a new part we will generally run a smaller quantity at a higher piece price so you can validate the part before committing to volume.

How do I get a price? What do you need from me?

Send a STEP file or a PDF drawing, the annual volume, the standard the part must meet (DIN / ANSI / ISO), and the material and finish. If you only have a competitor's part number or a physical sample, send the sample — we will produce a drawing and confirm the critical dimensions with you before quoting.

How long does quoting take, and how long is production?

Technical review within one business day; indicative pricing within three. Production lead time is 15–25 days for standard fasteners, 22–35 days for machined parts, and 30–45 days for castings including tooling. Tooling adds 20–45 days depending on type.

Can you supply material certificates and inspection reports?

Yes, and it is standard rather than an upgrade. Every lot ships with an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate carrying the heat number, a dimensional report against the drawing revision, and coating thickness stated in micrometres. PPAP Level 3 packs are available for automotive accounts.

What are your payment terms?

T/T 30% deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading for new accounts, L/C at sight for larger orders, and Net 30 for established repeat OEM accounts after six months of trade.

Which Incoterms do you ship on?

FOB Ningbo is our standard. We also quote CIF, DDP and EXW — DDP is common for European customers who want the delivered cost landed without managing customs themselves. We work with forwarders who handle EU and US import formalities routinely.

Do you handle EU compliance documentation?

Yes. We provide RoHS and REACH declarations for plating and materials, and we will complete your supplier compliance questionnaire. Where a part falls under a specific directive we will tell you which one applies rather than issuing a blanket statement.

Can I visit the factory or send an auditor?

Yes — we encourage it. We can issue a visa invitation letter, arrange collection from Ningbo or Shanghai, and will make sure the parts you want to inspect are running on the line. Please give us three weeks' notice.

Who owns the tooling if I pay for it?

You do. Customer-funded tooling is marked, inventoried as your property, and will be released to you on request at any time — including if you decide to move production elsewhere. This is stated in the quotation, not negotiated afterwards.

Do you sell to my competitors in the same market?

We will not disclose your designs, and we do not discuss one customer's programme with another. If exclusivity on a specific part in a specific market matters to your business, raise it — we have signed exclusivity terms before and will consider them on a case-by-case basis.
